Skin fungal disease in dogs and cats
This disease, also known as tinea or ringworm, is a skin disease that affects both humans and animals, and is more common in winter and spring. Clinical manifestations include depilation in the affected area, presenting as scattered alopecia areata, often appearing in a circular or elliptical shape. The lesions first appear in the neck, limbs, and local areas such as the face, earshell, and mandible, with itching.
Treatment: 5 parts of carbolic acid (phenol) and 1 part of glycerol, mix well and apply the medicine to the affected area with a cotton swab. After applying the medicine, the local area will start to turn white and red with the best concentration. After 3 days, yellow scabs will form. After 7 days, the scab will peel off and new hair will grow. This medicine is corrosive to human skin, please store it properly.
